Las Vegas, NV – Today, the Vegas Chamber announces its first round of endorsements for boards of education including the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents and the Clark County Board of School Trustees.
The Chamber’s recommendations are based on a candidate’s commitment to improving student achievement and collaborating with the business community to better align education to workforce development and college and career readiness.
“Quality education at all levels is essential to the future of Nevada. Education impacts all aspects of Nevada’s economy and the prosperity of Nevada’s hard-working families.” said Hugh Anderson, Chairman of the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee. “We need to elect candidates to boards of education who are laser focused on student success, have expertise in effectively managing public resources, and who are committed to positive collaboration to improve education outcomes. These candidates will be strong voices on behalf of our community.”
