It’s National Small Business Week nationwide, a tradition of the U.S. Small Business Administration since the early 1960s, to celebrate the contributions of America’s entrepreneurs to jobs, community, and the economy.
As the majority of the Metro Chamber’s membership is comprised of small business members, and this year’s Nevada recipient of the Small Business Person of the Year is proud member Mehdi Zarhloul, founder of Crazy Pita Restaurant Group, the Metro Chamber is encouraging everyone in Southern Nevada to Show Up For Small Business!
The Las Vegas Metro Chamber developed the “Show Up for Small Business” campaign to encourage people to make a point of shopping at a small business. This is an opportunity to draw attention to our small business Chamber members and encourage people to support local small businesses for their everyday purchases.
Whether it is your morning coffee, a restaurant for lunch, a special gift you are looking for, or a place to print your business cards, there is a small business there to fulfill your needs. Use the Chamber’s member directory to find a business, and post about it!
The Chamber is are tagging our social media with #ShowUp4SmallBiz. If you are at a small business, take a photo of the business, its sign, products, owner, etc., and post to social media. Be sure to tag @lvchamber and use #ShowUp4SmallBiz.
This is a great week to support small businesses in our community! We’re excited to see new businesses you discover, and those you frequent!
