One in five Americans are experiencing some form of mental illness either directly within themselves or within someone they love. Roughly 50% of those patients do not receive proper care or treatment due to out-of-pocket costs. In light of this research and Mental Health Awareness Month, we’d like to take this time to remind our members of the Nevada Drug Card. This is a FREE prescription assistance program available to you, your family, your employees and your clients. The Nevada Drug Card aims to make prescription medications like Fluoxetine or Sertraline more affordable for the uninsured and underinsured and can be used for savings of up to 75 percent on prescription medications at more than 68,000 pharmacies nationwide.
The Metro Chamber encourage you to let your staff know about this program and to print a free Nevada Drug Card at www.NevadaDrugCard.com or www.LVChamber.com.
The program discounts both brand and generic prescription medications for those individuals without prescription coverage. Additionally, individuals who have prescription drug coverage may still qualify and receive discounts on medications not covered by their insurance plan. There’s no application to complete, no membership restrictions, no income requirement and no age limitations. It’s as easy as printing a free Nevada Drug Card at www.NevadaDrugCard.com or www.LVChamber.com.
You can also have a supply of custom cards mailed directly to your office, at NO COST, by contacting Program Director, Suzanne Domoracki at Suzanne@NevadaDrugCard.com.
We hope you’ll agree this is an easy, innovative option that may help your employees and clients get the prescription medications they need at a cost they can afford.
