Las Vegas – The Vegas Chamber is excited to announce the Free Enterprise Award will be presented to Myron G. Martin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Smith Center, on October 12, 2023, at the Chamber’s annual “Business of the Year” Awards ceremony.

The Free Enterprise Award is presented annually to an individual in recognition of their contribution to the growth and progress of Southern Nevada. It is awarded as a testimonial of their adherence to the principles of American capitalism in the conduct of their business as evidenced by their foresight, their initiative, and by their acceptance of the risks and rewards inherent in the competitive American society. The Employers Association of Southern Nevada, the Vegas Chamber and the Nevada Taxpayers Association present the award jointly. The award has been presented every year since 1963.

“Myron Martin’s dedication to the growth and progress of Southern Nevada exemplifies what the Free Enterprise Award celebrates,” said Mary Beth Sewald, President & CEO of the Vegas Chamber. “Beyond risk and reward, The Smith Center has proved to be a cultural hub for the community and the many visitors from around the world. This prestigious award could not be a more fitting testament to Myron’s exceptional contributions and commitment to our region. We are thrilled to present the award at this year’s Business of the Year Awards ceremony.”
